Heidelberg Pharma - Qualified for Partnership

Heidelberg Pharma has licensed IP and generated in vitro and in vivo data regarding a unique toxin and distinctive coupling methods to antibodies. Multiple 2nd generation ADCs with different antibodies have been designed and tested. The project comes close to a technology platform, potentially leading to multiple 2nd generation ADCs for treatment of different tumor entities.

Heidelberg Pharma intends to start from co-operations with the pharma and biotech industry, offering use of its proprietary toxins and linkers, specific know-how in designing optimized conjugates, utilization of its infrastructure and development expertise for in vitro/in vivo profiling of ADCs.

Linkers used to couple the toxin with the monoclonal antibody are a crucial part of the whole antibody-drug candidate. HDP works on different linker technologies that release the toxic principle only after intracellular uptake. The linkers are optimized in respect to the monoclonal antibody and the toxin to provide its most cancer cell killing activity while minimizing damage to healthy tissue.
